A Terror Triptych: D.I.D.

A triptych - three parts of one whole, reflecting your worst fears. This short horror collection has haunting stories revolving around Disillusion, Insanity, and Death. Each horror short is paired with hand-drawn illustrations and associated poetry. The first story follows Brian, new to the island, whose new friend harbors monstrous secrets. Visitors to the island - sisters - leave, only for one to wind up in a psychiatric ward. Will her sister be able to reclaim her sanity? The third tale take us to Tai, a surf-loving vacationer. But something in the woods calls to him, and it will take everything he has to get through The Copse alive. If he can.

A Terror Triptych: Ireland

The dark history of Ireland is on display with visceral imagery in this second Terror Triptych. Generations of blood haunt the fair farm of Clairy in the first tale, Legacy. What will it take to appease an ancient Gaelic God? The second story ferries the reader to the Aran Islands, where The Dead House -or whatever resides inside- calls to young Clara. The trio of terror ends with the Dungeons Under Dublin, hiding dark secrets and spirits that thirst for revenge.

Reviews

Overall the stories were well written, I got sucked into each one it was great, I felt like I was there in the story with them watching each story unfold infront of my very eyes. I also loved the layout of the book too, it makes it nice to read and I don't feel overwhelmed.

Fabulous.

Megan Wintrip

These three stories are equally chilling and haunting and are likely to remain with my for some time. Although each story is not overly long, they all pack a punch, and each has a gut-wrenching twist.

Goodreads Reviewer

Good approach to terror. Three short stories with a Stephen King flair, and they pay off. Young people are the primary vehicle for the fear and the descriptions of the surrounding natural sounds enhance the experience. Nicely done.

Author Vincent Dicks

A trio truly creepy tales that could be true - or not. I liked the addition of poetry and illustrations, too. I would recommend reading it on your next camping trip in the dark woods or on one of those nights when you're home alone.

Adeline Russ

A fantastic read! Three stories full of sweet horror, great emotional suspense, and satisfying endings.
